“No, not yet.” Replied the Doctor. “Would you like me to call your family?”
“I don't have any. Call my friend Jeff though.”
“Will do, rest up now.” Said the doctor in a very unenthusiastic voice.
Milo dozed off once again from the pain. But this time he had a dream of a girl. One he had never seen before. This girl was the one Milo had been looking for all his life, but the only problem was that he had no idea who she was. He tossed and turned in his bed while contemplating who and why this girls face was stuck in his mind. He knew that it was there for a reason, he just has to find out why.
A nurse came into the room and woke Milo. He groaned for a moment and then glanced at her. “You have a visitor Milo.”
“Who is it?” Milo asked sleepily.
“Why don't you ask her yourself.” The nurse turned and walked out of the room. And in came the most beautiful girl Milo has ever seen. He knew at an instant that his dream girl was her.
“How are you feeling, Milo?” She asked softly, in a very sympathetic voice.
“Now that you're here, I'm feeling much better.”
The girl blushed and said, “My name is Alison, by the way. I've been watching you for some time now, we live on the same floor.”
Suddenly, it hit Milo like a sack of bricks. The girl of his dream had been under his nose all this time. But he had not had the guts to ask her out, or to even speak to her for that matter.
“I know this may sound awkward...” she stared, “But, will you go out with me when you're feeling a little better? The doctors said today's medicine is the only way you survived. And the recovery speed of these kind of things are amazing.”
Milo bit his tongue hard, he wanted to go on a date with this girl so badly, but hated the idea of her asking him. Finally he manned up and said “Of course i will. I've been watching you too. In fact, I love you.”
It was at this point that Milo realized that nothing else in the world mattered. He finally had found the person of his dreams, and that no amount of money or no probable outcome would make this relationship work. Milo relaxed, gave angelica a kiss and then went back to sleep. Where he did not dream at all.
