ok im new to photoshop, the tutorials have been helping me alot. i just want to know how to render an image, if anyone has a tutorial on it. thank you

EDIT: if render means deleting the backround of an image thats what i need. example i want a halo character but he has a backround, and i want to delete it. do i just use cut?
