Re: Digital Photography
Muzik, I use both digital and manual, although no one looks at the threads I make for photo's because you all are sig whores.
Anyway, if you are just getting into the more "professional" photography start with the basics, not with the best. Get a cheap little manual camera with no auto funtions, this way you learn what auto is REALLY doing for you and you will get a better grasp on how it all works. Then just have the film scanned in at one of those 1 hour places although I develop my own negitives, you may not have the ability to get to a darkroom.
After you do manual look at Nikon cameras, however know that if you are going to do photography for a side job do not get a D50 because every dumbass and their mom has one, I got one yes but you try to do a wedding and the people will complain that they have one as well etc etc people will say that it is not a pro camera but also these same people are douche bags and don't even know what photoshop is. Moving on, if you want to feel pro get a D70S or something.
Oh and Brunbeck said any digi cam will work... No, no not any will work, no matter the mpx the non SLR digital cameras will suck, big time.
