that's how you become a "slave in white collars" . but yeh, to people wanting something direct like author or musician or shampoo tester, it's really risky to go for that directly. if you don't make it, you're fucked. what should be done is getting a career loosely based on it, and you could go for it in your free time. like me, an aspiring sound pooper, it would be very easy for me to make music on my own time.

and for the idiotas, when I said sound engineer I didn't mean getting a person's recorded sounds and mixing them and all that shit. I meant being a sound designer or foley artist.

EDIT- and DanteVirgil, there isn't really much back up for a comic artist. that job sure racks in millions a year.
