stick to simple fonts...but make them look stylized. like say for this one...maybe right justify it, pinch down the leading (so there's less vertical space in the font) and maybe make it a bit smaller.

with the right...my only suggestion is to do something to make it look less like it was made with the liquify tool. maybe bump the text up a few levels, and play with making it look like it's emerging from the goo, or...make it look more like noisy green fog than green goo?

i guess i only say this because i enjoy pieces less when i can specifically recognize the tools used to do that part in photoshop.
