Yea I guess so. But for some reason I'm just not a fan of thouse colors on that paticuler piece.

Come on JD Do I need to give you some video help Can you draw,can you paint,can you do 3d,okakei,tech,brushes,pixel art or even great freaking ideas. If you can't do one thing try another. You've been the same place for several months.

What are you talking about? I rarely ever do a full piece with just brushes, little less show it to you.

And no, I'm not in the same place. Back before I was either playing with nothing but filters and not even making it look good, or 3D renders, which is trendwhore. I hate 3D because all of you nubs are doing it, I hate tech because all of you nubs are doing it, I hate pixel art because we are in the age of 3D and Mario Brothers is out of style...yeah...

Rofl, I'm learning that looking at the preview before making a dumbass out of youself is allways the best thing because I erase a bunch of words but don't pay attention to the words around it.
Also think. Filter work was never part of the gaming world except the occasional texture but they didn't allways fit right So what your doing now is not that revolutionary. Try illustration, can you do traditonal art pretty good?

I'm not doing things that are "revolutionary"...I'm doing things that I like and that I think is good. I don't really care if you like the "outdated" style or not.

Well just saying your just making it look like your talking about true graphics and saying you might find something else you like better but you don't know until you try. At least try a different color choice instead of red and black though my favorite colors when combine just try something different if you want a different oppinion in your work.

But I do have to admit you surely kick my ass in web design. I freaking suck at it

But that image isn't red...and the base isn't even very much of black, as it is white, if you paid attention to the detail of it. Yes, it's very dark, but it's an inverse. Little tricky for ya

But when you say that I should try something different if I want a different opinion...that's kind of ignorant if you ask me. I'm not going to become homosexual just so people will look at me differently and judge me differently...or I'm not going to start acting a different way just so I can get a more positive reaction for those who don't like my personality. It's just not the way I work. When it comes to my art, I make whatever seems like fun at the time. Yes, I would like to learn other styles, but I would only want to learn them to make my current style more in depth and expressive, and to be able to go even deeper down the rabbit hole and put more depth in my art.

I want you to look at a few images I have made, and compare them by both style and by skill. The style is the same, but the skill is vastly improved.

The first would be the picture above, then look at this. The same as when I write music, I do it for myself, and for no one else. But I know for a fact that there is always at least one person who will appreciate it and understand what the piece means, and want to explore further. Every piece I make has a point to it. Every piece I make has thought to it, and every piece I make expresses my emotions in some way shape or form. To me, that is what art is truly about. Not to make other people gaze from your skill, but to make them understand what is going on in your head. Elaboration without saying a word.

Make a little more sense now?

Thank you JD I have the same 100% iron clad opinion but... on traditional art and some digital art.

Filter art is not expressing anything, though you slowly changing your style like on the recent hell peice. It gave the felling of fear. If you take from that and learn to make that without filters you'll get a nice round of applause from me at least.

Well the opinion is , filter work is a long random road of many accidental suprises. Like I did some filter work and made a crome angel and I was like OMFG THIS IS SO COOL CHECK IT OUT but then I developed a diffrent sense opinion.

Now if you write music that great. I'd love to hear some but If you posting GFX I just like to keep my opinion.

I'm getting better...

And the only times I use filters, I know exactly what I'm going to get. Never within a piece am I surprised of the result.
