Ok, here's my view

The planet itself looks pretty nice, but around the edges in the bottom right you can still see a gray line going all the way around.

The stars, they look like shit......lol....no offense man

For your first it's not too bad.

Oh yeah I know the stars look awful, it was a brush I downloaded, not my own work. :P

I'll tweak it, and that gray line wasn't there when I saved it?...

okay lens flare = hell no, go and search greg martin and follow his space scape tut cos you need to learn how to do that...badly. Planet itself looks okay, but its very flat looking and the atmospheric glow makes it look out of place which obviously it shouldn't. Still needs work, but your getting there.

[Edit] uhh why does it say nebula if it doesn't even have a nebula in the scene???

That where I figured out how to do planets, Greg Martin's site.

Oh wait a sec, hmm.

"Lens Flare Stars
Create a new layer and fill it entirely with black. Set the layer mode to Linear Dodge (this is the best mode, screen just doesn't cut it sometimes). Render a lens flare (Filter > Render > Lens Flare). Duplicate the layer and resize as needed to create dynamic star clusters in the foreground. (You'll need a flare layer for every single star you want to create.)"

^ Right from Greg Martin's site, so Greg Martin uses lense flares, but you said to go to his site? Hm, thats strange.

And because Nebula is a cool word damn it.

hey I'm trying to help you, you silly cock. Anyway theres no use quoting that cos you didn't actually do any of it, you just threw on a lens flare on a new layer, and I said do the full spacescape not pick a part and try to argue. Also if you read the whole thing he says only use it for a couple of foreground stars, this is usually done in a part of a nebula. Oh and by the way I'm actually pretty good at space art so don't try quoting shit and telling me what I'm saying to help you is nothing. Jeese if you don't want c&c don't post your work to be commented on.

Sorry I don't ask for asshole critics, and I usually don't bother paying attention to them, cause well their assholes, listen you may or may not be an asshole or not, but the way you type your critiques you sure as hell seem like one.

And you say lense flares are bad, yet he uses them and you seem to like his work, doesn't matter how he uses them they are lense flares.

And I'm not argueing with you, there is nothing to argue about, and you could be the greatest fucking space artist in the world, doesn't matter to me, if your critique me like an asshole you get attitude.

Deal with it.

wtf? You're the only asshole here, you don't seem to get it do you? READ the damn article yes he uses lensflares but he uses them under a black linear dodged layer, he also resizes them, thats is NOT what you have done thats why its looks bloody awful. And it does matter if you don't use them right, how many of greg's works have you seen whith some crap arse lensflare in the middle?

Also I don't get why the fuck its okay for Muzik to tell you your stuff is shit but as soon as someone else says anything you refuse it and start acting like some spoilt punk. You can't just show off some peice of spaceart that shows no proper technique other than a noise filter and expect everyone to say "wow isn't that interesting..." Like I said I am trying to help you, I'll show you some of my practice scapes and nebulas if you want, then you can see that I do know what I'm on about.

guys... chill out. if he wants to try an make his own style, let him, who the hell says he has to follow this Greg Martin way of making lens flare? your opinion is your opinion, nothing more... i dont even understand space art anyways, theres way too much of it now imo.

if i wanted to see a beautiful starset id go outside at night, or go look on the NASA hubble site.
