Make it more 3D...I can't remember the exact word... it's like adding colors, textures, the whole 9 yards and stuff....rendering?

yeah, do that, if possible.

guys its a solidworks model, used for CAD stuff... you dont really add textures in it... You can render an image but it wont turn out like you guys think. You can output the model to then import in a 3d modeling program as well but then theres compatability issues.

As far as the model goes, that looks great. Good detail on a relatively simple shape.

And i love working in CAD programs, they are so much easier than 3d modeling... because it seems more real to me. Its easier to build objects with edges rather than solid shapes.

why thank you.
if it's any (dis)comfort to you...i paid $66 for the book that taught me how to do THAT. so from this point on...anyone that tries to tell me college books aren't overpriced, will be slapped. with a fish.
()!

and i was gonna make mention on the "make look more 3d" thing...because from my understanding...i was just supposed to make functional, well-designed items that didn't have to look good in the program. but i couldn't say for sure whether or not i COULD make them look good in the program.

I've used CAD programs before. I don't know much about Solidworks, since I use Inventor for the majority of work, but I do know that you can add textures in that program (albeit they are generally restricted and shitty, unless you take an inane amount of time to fix them up, and then do lighting in Photoshop).

I'll say this though. I love the curves and stuff. Having circular objects is such a bitch to remember, I think. Your's is really detailed and accurate, I'd say.

I think anyone who's used a CAD program would agree. It's nice.
