I've been working on this for ages now and thought Id show where im up to ATM. Its going to be kind of like a small cave troll. Mainly for my son who aske me to do him a monster or the like. I thought something like this could be fun to do. Although I will admit I have bitten off more than I can chew here I think as I am trying for a more realistic look over cartoony. Hopefully its looking the part hence the showing to get any feedback.

Still to apply detail to the noise and add more depth to the hair and afew other finer details.

No mouth as yet, the mouth is turning out to be tricky, any ideas ?

i'm sorry i don't have any ideas for you...but i really really like what you've got so far.

have you always been this good at brushing?? or did you just pick it up??

Well, Ive been hand drawing for yrs and basiclly used the same strokes I would as if i was using a pencil. It did take me a bit of time to understand what type of brush to use and size, pressure and the like though. So far up to 100+ layers, yiks. I do have to every 20 layers or so flatten the image and start up agian as PS just boggs down to much.

Anyway, hopefully in about a week the final should be done.

First thing I noticed was that you apparently duplicated the eyes, resulting in the glare showing up in the left of one eye and in the right of the other. Keep the glare on the same side to make the lighting more believable.

Ah, the eyes. I missed that. Fixed.
Yeah, I thought id duplicate the eyes to ensure the color was the same on each. ( is that cheating ) LOL.

Yep, the nose is looking a bit better now.

Back to it need energy to keep going LOL. This is harder than I thought

the glare on the eyes is off, it makes it look like you duplicate the layer.

Other than that, its looking good. Work on the nose, it looks a *bit* flat.
