Not bad. The render is okay for your first time, but it doesnt really work as anything abstract. I've seen alot of these so they dont really apeal to me as much as some stuff does.

mm I agree with sicloan, the render is nice but doesn't really suit the abstract, although it looks really nice in your sig (if thats the same render).

Yea its the lower right part of the dev art. That part i do agree with. That looks really good.

A good rendering tip: Render with perspective, and then in photoshop change your renders perspective as well. That will make your renders much more dynamic!!

Have you ever played with perspective in PS? EDIT > transform > perspective.

You can get much nicer looking renders when they have alot more depth to them.

You guys should learn how to use perspective in c4d. You can change your layout so its a perspective map and things litterally launch out at you. if you do it right. i believe http://www.surreal-utopia.com/ has some video tuts on it.

oh cool. i played with perspective in photoshop. its cool iguess, ill have to use it on one of my renders. i think my problem is that i dont know what to do when i get to the brushing stage, my renders are alright but i just freeze up when it comes to brushing.
ill check out the tuts later after school.

you're brushing isn't that bad, use tweaks tuts to help, but what I reckon you really need is some decent backgrounds, pure black just doesn't cut it
