It just fits a lot better, color-wise.

I still don't like the text, but that's because I hate "fancy" text like that. Just plain pixel text is better, IMO.

Also, I don't like filters on text like that (where it gives it that false shading...I think that's bevel and emboss?). Just looks too flashy.

i changed the font a little. i think this one fits better

This one is alot better. The colors flow better in this one. The text is still pretty ugly. Something you should think about when doing text is that unless the text is a major part of the piece, you shouldn't make it over dramatic. Like in your picture now, the first thign my eye went to was the text, not the image or the background.

yea. like ive told peopel. text is NOT my strong point in any way. i hate it actually. it frustrates me that i can make my work. then get so caught up in the font.. gah.. and suggestions?

looks better, you really don't even need text.

The text isn't in any sort what should be a centerfold of your peice. It should just be there as an addon to say it's yours. Unless you want someone to get a message of somesort.
