ok, this thread is designed to bring out the pessimist in you. or the optimist. or the communist. whatever.
basically, post radical or nor radical laws that you think would be constituted in the future if "Big Brother" was ever-present, or the world economy collapses, whatever.
my first one would be this, and it would suck. "Only educational promoters, being that they are civil servants, may purchase red pens. Any person(s) that provides red pens for purchase for non-civil servant educational promoters is subject to fines and imprisonment, as is someone who makes said unlawful purchase."
how would "pens" be interpreted? could a student buy a red marker? what about red paint? colored pencils? hm... lets just say that the court system is dumb enough to not declare this law as "unconstitutional". but then again, the Constitution will, theoretically, never rule more than the citizens of the United States of America. (for goodness sake, lets hope it never has a need to)

now think about this, what kind of incident would cause a government to take the time and energy to pass this bill when the world economy has collapsed?

I also had a hard time following your thoughts. I get the fact that you want discuss what would happen if the government passed an outrageous bill or law or whatever, but i dunno how that fits into the whole disaster of the world economy? care to elaborate please
