Future Consoles
So how many of you are interested in the future consoles..?
Xbox 2 (Xbox 360), PS3, Nintendo Revolution.. they all seem so advanced. I mean, 10 years ago, who would've thought possible what will soon be reality? I'm not saying there is any actual confirmed information on these systems, but from the rumors and mixed reports... it looks like we are on the horizon of a technological milestone only dreamt about before. This makes me wonder where we will be in fifty years. Did you know Sony has a registered patent on a way of transmitting electrical signals directly onto the human brain cortex as to "imitate feelings", much like a real "Matrix". I believe in our life times we will see some of the most beautiful technological breakthroughs ever known to man kind, as we move away from silicon and into the digital world.

yeah... and theres already alot of hype about getting lost in virtual reality. People getting confused on what is reality. And what if we can mimic real life for people... they wouldnt know what would be real and whats not. Some video games (rated M) would be very fun, the sex especially. But it wouldnt be real.


It might be a very good thing for training soldiers though. Or long distance girl/boy friends. I dunno i'm just thinking about practical uses for almost, if not real, virtual reality.

xbox 2.. WILL own. Im selling my xbox soon too get the cash for it. This one game comming out for it, condemned, seems so... unreal! I mean, its damn near impossible too differentiate between the real picture and the game one (Most of the stuff in this game is taken from real life places and items. An example is a door. They went too cities and took pictures of items too be used in the game, and it looks fucking REAL.)

xbox 2 will not own.. the confirmed ps3 specs are already greater. and microsoft is stupid. if it weren't for halo 2 and ninja gaiden my xbox would have been traded in a long time ago

I still love sony, I will be getting the ps3 first I'm thinking, then when I have money and xbox 2. Dunno about the new nintendo system.

Are you kidding me? Where did you get his info on ps3 specs better than xbox 2? You realize xbox 2 and its flagship games will be released the same period as ps3 too suck their sales dry?

you do realize that xbox has the smallest fanbase in the world of the 3. Nintendo and Sony both have firm roots in Asian gamers which helps ALOT. the xbox has garbage games with good graphics. Sony has everything you ever need. The only sales xbox 2 may dry up is its own through lack of planning. They need a better variety of games to appeal to all gamers. Basically xbox right now is fighters.. 30 odd first person war games.. and halo.

All the consoles are not really much diffrent except, Nintendo, They have a bunch of HIGH quality platformer. I'm going to get the PS3 and Revolution. The only thing I like on Xbox is Oddworld and Halo :/ then again they could change.

There hasn't been any specs on the PS3 leaked yet or even speculated, so I'm not sure about PS3 beating XBOX ha ha, considering XBOX has... well :

* CPU will use three 3.0GHz PowerPC cores, each with 32KB L1 cache, 32KB instruction cache, and the three share 1MB of L2 cache. Later alpha decks only featured two cores.
* The graphics will be handled by a “next-gen” 500MHz ATI post-X800 adapter
* There will be 256MB RAM—no word on what type; memory cards will range from 64MB to 1GB
* There will be no “next-gen” (i.e. Blu-ray or HD-DVD) drive, but instead a dual-layer DVD
* There will be an optional hard drive (as we heard before)—no word on final size
* There will be a USB 2.0 camera for 1.2-megapixel shots and VGA-quality video
* 5.1-channel audio is handled in software—X3DAudio to be exact (no word on in/outs)

LMAO thats a load of crap dude. Some of the most legendary games are on xbox. I can tell you TONS of really shitty ps2 games, but there are some good ones. Maybe it is more popular farther east (Asian countries), but xbox and any sequel consoles that come after it will pwn the fuck out of the other two in my eyes (esp Nintendo )

And, it has been confirmed that ALL xbox 2 games will need to be XBOX live enabled, have standard 5.1 sound, and wide screen / high definition graphics.

are you really that blind. sure xbox is a good system... but the only real thing the current system can boast is graphics and first person shooters. I also never said that playstation 2 didn't have shitty games. EVERY system has shitty games. Ps2 and Gamecube just have a wider variety of better games. Xbox has good games. but only in few categories. If you love first person shooters.. then get an xbox.. if you love rpgs and strategy, get a ps2.. if you love console exclusive (ie zelda, mario, metroid) games and just pure fun.. gamecube gets it done.
Every system has its strengths and weaknesses. But xbox isn't the best by a long shot. Did you know that xbox was actually losing money until halo came out. it was barely profitable until halo 2 came out. how can it be Such an awesome system yet no one seems to want them except for one game?

The reason that XBOX was losing money wasnt because they weren't selling, its because not enough games were being bought. Microsofts strategy was to put out this beast of a system which would lose them money because the hardware at the time was too expensive to technically be selling for 300-350$, but it would allow games like Halo (produced by microsoft ofcourse) to come out and sell millions. And it worked. The xbox sold plenty, infact you couldnt find it in stores for months, I remember ebay had them for upwards of 500-600$. The fact was, was that microsoft was just losing money on the xbox itself.

dude fable sucked so much ass.. it was a loading screen every 10 seconds. and i have already said ninja gaiden was awesome. KOTOR, to me, could have been a lot better. the one button fighting system was garbage. They should have utilized something like that of Prince of Persia's or God of war's.

Kotor and Kotor II raped the new Prince Of Persia. a lot of backtracking and repetitive crap. It was merely okay

I never got into prince of persia, but I have KOTOR 1 and it was really really damn fun. Took me forever to beat, but damn all my guys looked really cool and all had sweet red dualsabers.

Hey does anyone know if theyll ever re-make the star wars pod racer game? (Thats currently on n64)

I never said anything about warrior within.. i just said prince of persia... But the fighting system was sweet. KOTOR was good game but would have been sick as hell if it had a better fighting system

hell yea! the latest console system i have in my house is a Nintendo 64, then a SEGA Genesis. Unfourtunately my computer blows, but that will end mid summer, when my bitchin system shall be built!

not only are there good fighting games on xbox, but you cant forget the tom clancy series, the rainbow six series and all the other good first person shoots. Counterstrike included. Xbox OWNS ps2 with online play. Simply because its easy to get onto, and you dont have to buy an extra accessory to get online, unlike PS2 // gamecube.

i already said xbox was known for it FPS's.. basically my whole argument was that xbox stayed in 2-3 categories of games while nintendo and sony both have a wider variety.. anyways... live is better than playstation internet. it is more organized and less laggy.
