Actually, theres some limitations.

First off, they already offer a 6 mbit / 768 kbit tier. This costs $10 extra a month

They are going to upgrade thier tiers ONLY for cable subscribers. So if you are an internet subscriber and NOT a cable customer you dont get the upgrade (this would be me...)

Basically it is 4 to 6 mbit (no change in upload) for the cable subscribers without the speed upgrade. and 6 to 8 mbit for the cable subscribers with the speed upgrade.

Although you can upgrade to the 6 mbit one for $10 more and the 8 mbit one fro $20 more a month.

Should be up later this summer.

I really want to get the 6 tier. I have to convince the parents though (i have to pay for it.. $10 a month isnt bad i just have to pay for it). And i think the added upload speeds definately would help.

I don't really have a need for upload speed, a gigabit home network would be nice though.

I find that the games i play tend to take up alot of upload bandwidth. Especially when my brother is on Vent & playing his games as well. Its just nice to have that low latency and speeds there.

Btw once Verizon's Fios is in my area, which is 15 mbit down / 5mbit up for the same price as comcast, i'm definately switching over unless comcast can compete.
