How to surf without popups and other annoying stuff that Internet Explorer can't handle is starting to be a problem. Download a proper browser:

Both browser got tab browsing and no-popups and alot of other nice feats.

Got gator? Or any other spyware? Get a spybot:

Even with a spybot firms as gator.com keep spying on you, to stop this open the file called hosts. Itæs located in C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\hosts on Windows XP. If you don't find it there or you don't have XP do a search on the term "hosts". It's located /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default on linux. When you open this file schould it be a ip-adress there already, 127.0.0.1 localhost. Let it stand and write this down:
What happens now is that the next time you'll open you browser (hopefully a firefox now ) and type gator.com it won't work as it tries the ip-adress 255.255.255.255. Add as many sites you won't to.

General tips:

• Never press "Yes" or "I accept" when strange messages pops up on strang sites.
• Got virus? Anitvirus won't remove it? Check www.symantec.com for a remover.
• Dosen't www.symantec work? And you have virus? Check the hosts file and remove everything but 127.0.0.1 localhost and whatever you have written yourself.
• NEVER, EVER open e-mails with attachments from people you don't know.
• To avoid spam in your inbox never use your mail adress on homepages or in mailto: codes. If you wan't it on a page type it like this: youmail@mailhostNOSPAM.com. People will understand and remove it or just write people to remove it.
