Headphones!

I know that there are at least two threads on this, but they are kind of cluttered...

I'm looking for two different kinds of headphones: some that produce great sound quality but aren't too massive and some that can replace my iPod Earbuds.

I have some great headphones but the fucking cord is too god damned long. I can't even explain how annoying it is to try to walk around with eight feet of headphone cord.

The iPod earbuds work fine, when they do, but they usually don't. One made its way into a glass of water and now they both work like shit. I've read in the previous threads that you can get replacements for free; does anyone know the procedure for this? I'm looking for something beyond "Check the website." I express so much interest in new iPod earbuds because they produce an acceptable sound and they also stay in my ear when I skate, something that other earbuds do not do.

I would also not be disinclined to get some wrap-around headphones as replacements for the earbuds. Those would stay on my ears just fine and I would think that they can deliver decent sound quality. They may even be able to serve as replacements for the eight feet of cord!

Re: Headphones!

If you don't mind the full on in-ear style headphones, definitely take a look at the Sony MDR-EX51LP. They give pretty damn good bass response for 40 bucks, and stay in my ear while i'm skating. If you wanna get the 81's or something, go for it, i've just never had experience with em.

I'd get em if walmart started selling em.

(i can't afford to come into tech like that "legally")

Those look pretty good and the idea of them wrapping wround even a little bit is comforting, i just wonder if the things themselves are comfortable... anyone know? im kind of interested actually.
my ipod ear buds still sound okay but i will probably grow tired of their inability to deliver a constant performance level. sometimes they work sometimes they dont. and 30 bucks? iunno. i hope that would be "you get what you pay for" cause thats half of what my big headphones cost!
psfhgklhsd thanks apoc

Re: Headphones!

Hi.

iPod Headphones... how old is your ipod? You can get them replaced for free, as long as you have an ipod. But I think it might have to be less than a year old. Because I hear the accessory warranty is a year. So in case you have a recent iPod!:

1st.
Visit this link
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/

2nd.
In the service menu that reads "Troubleshooting" and etc, click iPod Service. On the ipod service page click the little link next to an ipod cable that says "Replace a replacement accesory for your ipod."

3rd. You should be at a place like this.
http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/

Enter your serial number where asked and follow the steps from there. You'll have to make an apple account if you don't already have one.

and the rest is simple. The only thing you have to do is send back your defective headphones. It's easy, you can schedule a pick up with DHL online, they'll do it the same day you schedule. They're quick. It's all pre-paid packaging so no worries on paying for shipping.
