Macs rule. Period.

Behold: Running Windows applications from within OS X, without the use of Windows itself and at fully native speeds.

I honestly don't know how anyone can still try to bash Macs.

Got a Mac? Use this, it's fucking free (for the moment).

Re: Macs rule. Period.

i love mac OS X...but i'm starting to get angry with the hardware.

my dog barely tripped over my power cord on my mac(my dog weighs like 14 pounds anyways)...and it ripped out of the part that plugs into the computer. the worst part about it is...i'd been having problems with that crappy adapter ever since i'd bought it. ...and they cost $90 dollars to replace? if they're going to overcharge that dramatically, they should start making quality parts.
(and don't tell me i'm the only one. my friend has had 3 keys simply fall off of his keyboard....and we're the only people i know that own macs.)

*but other then that, i do love the macs.

and i'll give that crossover program a try...it looks pretty tight.

They are over priced.

You can't build them or upgrade parts.

You're still a fucking moron.*

Macs are no more expensive than a similarly configued DELL or other PC brand laptop.

You CAN UPGRADE THEM!, the switch to intel processors has allowed upgradeable components, namely processors. You can also upgrade the graphics card, memory, and hard drives, exactly like any other PC...

Re: Macs rule. Period.

I hate how my iBook has only 350 mb of RAM, but it's a G3, and I don't actually want to spend my own money, so I shouldn't complain.

So, program's called Crossover? How much can it do? Like, is it possible to run any .exe file, or only certain stuff? I'll check it out later myself, but if you can answer...

Re: Macs rule. Period.

It's only for the new Intel macs. So far every .exe I tried to open has worked (the first one just took a really long time).

That's because PC brands are for morons.

And as for upgrading that's a step up but can it run AMD? No, Intel is also a shitty make of proc chips.*

Re: Macs rule. Period.

Alright, your being ignorant. The new intel chips blow anything AMD has out of the water, trust me, I have a e6600 @ 3.6 ghz and it smokes ANYTHING amd has.

Intel boards cant run AMD either, so I dont know why thats a problem? if you hate macs, thats fine. I probably wouldnt buy anything but a mac book, they're notebooks are cheaper than the competition.

Re: Macs rule. Period.

Anatomy- the new macbooks have a magnetic connection between the power port and the cable itself. I think this is present on all new Mac computers and notebooks but I can't confirm that right now because I'm splooging over aluminum cases on iPods and the possibility of running Apophysis on this Macbook without Windows. (I just checked, its called "MagSafe" and its present on the Macbook and Macbook Pros. It fuckin works, by the way.)

If this Crossover works I'll need another hard drive for all the shit I can get now.

Dr. de Seis is my new best friend.

They're right, Vic, the new Core chips blow AMD outta the water dude. They've completely overhauled the architecture for the new chips.
