well... i love flash... but i was wondering... should i encorporate it inot the main site & the header of the forums???

It limits the people who doesn't have flash... It would have to have a HTML/Flash button.

this is true. accessibility is a huge issue these days. Some people do not have flash, most do. Im pretty sure every graphics enthusiest has flash on thier computer. And that turns to the next point: you can have a text based nav that will replace flash if it does not exist on the persons computer. Where we would also include a "GET FLASH" link for the site.

I like the idea, personally. im trying to stay active, im not even supposed to be on the comp now, i got so much work to do today. Come saturday, i think the 56k skin will be done.

imo no, just cuz i dont use IE and 1/2 the time boot in linux, i dont want to install the flash player on my browser either. perhaps make one with and without flash eh?

you dont have to have ie to view flash... it works perfectly fine in other browsers that have installed the plugin. And, this skin is still non flash, im just saying i think it would really bring this site ahead of the competition, which is something we need. If i were to go ahead and do this, i would make the default layout the flash one, and from there you could choose a different one. I am fluent in css / xhtml / asp and i know how to make a css switch button switch on the fly. So you could turn on / off the flash at will.

i know i dont need ie to view flash, but if u kept reading you'd find that i dont want to install the flash player on my browser, its just a pain in the ass most of the time. The swtich button sounds pretty cool (if i get what you mean)

most browsers already come with it installed. The button would have to be there though. We dont wanna exclude members.
