Got a brand new 4x5 WACOM tablet for mah birthday today.... turned 17. o.O i also got a pre paid credit card thing cuz i hate carrying around cash/wallet. Im gonna hook up my tablet now and start fucking with it!

*sigh* well my tablet had a giant crack in the middle and the pen was broekn so i just got back from Comp USA and exchanged it for a brand new one. Heres the first thing i've used it on... its some sort of monster? o.O dunno.

lol looks like scribles. Does your pad have touch-sensitivity? like, the lighter the touching, the lighter the brush stroke?

If so, play with like curves that have dark centers and lighter tips. You have the change this in the brush settings in the top right. Brushes are going to be your new friend.

edit: How much was it? cuz i really need a tablet.

70 dollars with rebate. Its a 4x5 WACOM Gaphire.. and yeah it does i just havent played with anything on it yet... That was the first thing i did. It takes some time to get used to though...
