There are videos that go along with all the songs. I couldn't find them (here's the trailer), but they're supposed to be fantastic and very math-orientated. This stuff brings to mind something my prof said today: basically math is like climbing a mountain, and mathematicians climb that mountain because they know it's hard. But the fact that it's hard isn't what makes it worthwhile; what makes it worthwhile is the view they get when they reach the summit. I'm drunk right now.

Dev-il: I'd say the closest genre it comes to would be tweak electronica, but a lot more elegant.

Re: Watchu listenin' to Willis?

I forgot to say what albums I got in the past two weeks. :[

Albums in the Two Weeks Ago
Tourist - Athlete
Vehicles & Animals - Athlete
Crime Slunk Scene - Buckethead
Blinking Lights and Other Revelations - Eels (seriously DL this album, it's great. I like it as much as In the Aeroplane Over the Sea by NMH)
Electro-Shock Blues - Eels
Moonchild - John Zorn
Naked City - John Zorn
Effloresce - Oceansize
Everyone into Position - Oceansize
Summer In Abaddon - Pinback (sorry I'm late)
Valley of The Damned - Dragonforce

Albums downloaded in the past week
Everything All The Time - Band of Horses
This Binary Universe - BT
Master of Metallica - Dream Theater (bootleg of the concert, pretty awesome, LaBrie had weird vocals though)
Whats The Story (Morning Glory) - Oasis (pales compared to the first cd, the best general rock cd ever, but meh, wanted to hear it)
The Bends - Radiohead (first Radiohead cd ever? )
Rubber Factory - The Black Keys
The Ramones - The Ramones
Desperate Youth, Bloodthirsty Babes - TV On The Radio (I never had the entire album)

And that's it for the past two weeks.

Re: Watchu listenin' to Willis?

I don't like The Bends nearly as much as other albums.

I was listening to Russel Shaw's Fable soundtrack.

Now listening to Aberdeen City's album, The Freezing Atlantic.

Later I'll be listening to Malajube's album, Trompe-l'oeil.

I've never actually listened to any other cds, so meh to your opinion.
But, I've heard individual songs on last.fm's radio, and they're alright, I guess. I'm guessing that Radiohead is one of those bands that truly deserve to hear the album played the whole way through though.

But yeah, I still hate Radiohead for their avant-garde style, and the fact that people only listen to them because it makes them think they're smarter. Which is why I'll take The Bends over any individual song I heard on last.fm radio from OK Computer or Kid A. Same damn reason I'll take Oasis's first cd over Morning Glory. Underappreciated, but still good.

But, this is all just blatant ignorance because I haven't actually downloaded any other full cd, so .
Meh to you.

"The World Bank and the IMF have created a system of modern day colonialism that make the people of the developing world poorer and the multi-national corporations richer and take the power away from all of us. It's time to take back control of our lives and tear apart these monuments to greed and build our new world from the broken pieces."

haha
anyway
Bit, other Radiohead CDs are definitely worth a listen the whole way through (OK Computer and Kid A especially).
I got the self-titled Wolfmother CD and I think it's pretty damn good.

Check out "The Sun Never Sets" by The Herd (Australian hip-hop or something like that).

I hate how you listen to stuff five weeks after I send them to you anyway

listening to They All Laughed by Chet Baker. best voice ever.

EDIT- it's also hilarious that you seem to have just discovered the Modest Mouse album I sent you
EDIT2- and Air came out with a Late Night Tales album, yayzorz. LNT albums are albums artists put out remixing or just covering their favorite songs, and The Flaming Lips made a LNT album covering Flim by Aphex Twin a while ago too
