ummm the reason im replying tho is because im new here and somehow i cant post any new topics and i wanted to request a tut from anyone who can explain how to create the myst or cloudy effect around the soccer ball in the euro 2004 logo

ill post the image so u guys can c it...



ive been bustin my head tryin to find a tut to explain that effect but ive had no luck
anyways hope u guys can help me and while ur at it can ya plz comment on my plain sig that i whipped up last night? i cant seem to think of a good bg for it ... Thnx

I moved this to the REQUEST A TUTORIAL forum. theres more than just the tutorial forums

anyway, i'll see what i can do and if i can duplicate this effect

Edit: this mainly done with smudge & blur.

Make a selection of the object you want the glow behind (cntrl + click the layer)

Fill it with the color you want your glow

Then use the smudge tool to get teh effect you want. It'll take alot of patience but it will probabaly look better in the end knowing you did it

Smudge = pwnage. If i had photoshop on this computer (mines KIA) i'd write one but its rather simple.


Take a brush. Draw it out rought. Smudge to hell.
