you know...for how generic the style on a lot of those are--you did manage to make them look pretty cool, so props on that. I can't wait to see what you start doing once you start branching out with your own style.

I couldn't really say I have a favorite.
I think the next step for you would be to work with colors and a sense of originality.
The Apophysis backgrounds don't really cut it.

I'll be the first to say outright that they're just... noobish sigs? Nothing wrong with that, you have to start somewhere, but it's too tutorial-esque. Like others said, you got to start using actual brushing and smudging and work on the colors. (You can't have just a monotone background, one color. And you can't just mix-match colors, it has to be smooth and sexy

)

But then, I also suck at sigs, so just keep trying, and you'll be making sigs like all the rest. I know a lot of these guys early sigs were horrible

bit, i miss your hXc xmen sig.

and idk how much of

is your original work...but if you changed the color of the stock, made the background and blended the two, then i'm pretty impressed--as far as new-sigmaking skills go.

that one definitely caught my eye.

You've definitely progressed since you started, thats obvious. But like other have said you have some ways to go to be creative with it.

I think its pretty neat to follow the progression of your sig making. Nice job there, wonderfully laid out.

Some reason I found that very contradictory... maybe the reason you suck at sigs is because you stopped trying. I'd like to see you start it up again.

I never did try, I just did them to make doctor shut up and leave me alone.

Hearing "y wont u make a sig/" on AIM every night got annoying.

I do not understand some of the people here. It's like I get called out for having an opinion, which was actually in hope of motivating the guy.

I was not trying to reiterate the whole 1st grade name calling ordeal once again, that still 21 year olds continue to imitate. I am interested in art, just not exactly working with photoshop. And seriously man, that was a lame comment. For someone talking, you haven't made a sig/whatever in almost two months. The same goes for about the five-thousand+ registered under this site. Jesus. We should just start calling out turbo posts about her photography, or every time you or somebody else creates a "What's up" thread to hopefully revive the place, or even just about everybody's dissertation about technology in general. Maybe that'll wise up the place a little, well, according to your standards it will.

lmao...duuuuude, i was kidding. sorry if that wasn't apparent enough, but i thought it may be considering both the irony, and the fact that i've been doing my best to offer helpful advice on not just his, but most everyone's stuff i've seen posted on here in the last few months. (though admittedly--in my non-sleepy stupor, that does look more serious and less kidding than i had intended it to)

anytime i post stuff, i get maybe 1 or 2 comments, so i just haven't bothered to continue that whole trend, but if it's uber important to you i can post both the ugly things i've been forced to make for work and the weird/lame personal projects i've been making mainly for the sake of impressing my girlfriend.

--and souldza...that's pretty awesome you did all of these without tutorials. one thing i will say is: with the fonts, keep it simple. the exciting ones may be tempting, but they really only have specific times and places, and in most cases, i'd say that (my font of choice) arial black will look better.

I agree completely with anat about the fonts, however, a touch that i like to use unless really lazy, is to type something out in arial, then choose Layer > Type > Create Work Path. This changes your writing into a path which means if you use the direct selection tool then u can drag a box around parts of ur path, and when u have finished u simply make a new layer then click on the path and choose create selection at the bottom, then fill the text in with ur chosen colour.
