Re: .psd uploading

I found:

www.ripway.com

but... doesnt allow me to use it as an img file.. just puts it up on the web as a file that has to be downloaded... its pretty much useless... for [img] [/img] tags...

Re: .psd uploading

dude, you need to export your images and .jpg or .png or .gif for web.. you cant use psd for that... PSD is the photoshop document type for editable images with layers... the only reason you would need to upload a .psd is to have other people work on it. Which is why I said Zip the file first if your going to send it to someone.

To save for the web go to File > Save for web
choose the file type and your good to go.

Unhappy Re: .psd uploading

**HELP.
I understand how to transform an ordinary PSD file into JPEG or GIF.
But I am having a bit (ok, alot) of trouble in figuring out how to export/ transform an ANIMATED PSD file. Nothing I seem to do works.
I cannot upload it onto a PSDupload site, I cannot merely 'save as' the file into a different file format. I made a web banner with Adobe ImageReady (windows not mac).
How do I either:
- Upload it straight onto the internet
- Change the format
**HELP

Re: .psd uploading

You'll have to save, through imageready, optimized as and make it a gif and yadda yadda yadda

Re: .psd uploading

That doesn't work.
I can't 'save as' it in the web menu because when saving you can only select PSD format. There are no GIF or JPEG formats.
And if I 'save optimized as' as either a JPEG or HTML (the only two options) it will onlt save the highlighted frame as an image and this happens.

Re: .psd uploading

you have to save it as a gif, duh. GIF's are the ONLY animated images possible online.

Try not optimizing as a .jpg. it absolutely essentially NEEDDS to be a .gif, simple as that.

Re: .psd uploading

No, but like, on that table in the upper left hand corner it says "Optimize" and then says JPEG High.
Change that to .gif...
