Hmm.. The actual render looked better on its own...

Oh well, I suppose I could touch it up with some 2d, a border, some nice grid effects and it'll be a nice background.

It's good, but to be honest with you, I like the render more then what you did to it, except for the colouring. I'm not a big fan of distortion effects.
