Making a sexy Background - Intermediate

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2.../40x40icon.jpg

wanna create a super sweet BG? well follow this tutorial to find out how to...

1.) first go and find some nice brushes here: GET BRUSHES HERE make Category: Resources and Sub-Category: Photoshop Brushes and click "Apply Browse Settings"
the one i used for this sig is this one: THE BRUSHES I USED FOR THIS SIG

2.) press "D" then select your canvas (ctrl + A)

3.) fill it with black by going to Edit > Fill, and click Enter

4.) now, make a new layer (shift + ctrl + N) and start brushing on that layer with white brushes (make it so it is almost full, but that you can see some black spaces)
mine looks like this so far:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...brushlayer.jpg

5.) then make a new layer (shift + ctrl + N) and start brushing on it with black, the same way you did with the white using different brushes in the pack

6.) keep switching between black and white, each with a new layer until you have 4-5 layers of brushing

7.) on the bottom of your layers palette, click the half black, half white circle (4th from left) and go to color balance (click here to see what i mean: HERE
fool around with where you put the bars on Shadows, Midtones, and Highlights till you get something you like and click ok

8.) click on the same half black half white circle that you clicked to get to color balance, but instead get Brightness/Contrast
move the brightness and contrast bars where you like it
*always try to have the contrast bar more to the right then the brightness... as it will usually produce a better look

here is what mine looks like so far:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...und/1stset.jpg

9.) while on the color balance layer go to Filter > Render > Clouds

10.) now, make a new layer (shift + ctrl + N) and go ahead and brush with white, in a similar way that you did before, and keep swiching between black and white with new layers... using about 3 or 4 layers will be fine

11.) and again, make a color balance, and brightness and contrast, set them to how you would like, and while on the color balance layer go to Filter > Render > Clouds

Mine looks like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...und/2ndset.jpg

you can keep going, or you can stop, i usually have about 4 sets of these...
each set consists of:
4 brush layers (switching between black and white)
a color balance
a brightness/contrast...

here is mine after 4 sets:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nd/allsets.jpg

now you just have to add a border, some text, and a renders if you want
i am not going to use a render in this sig, just b/c i would rather leave it ALL brushed

here is my FINAL product:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...ound/FINAL.jpg

i hope this helps

All you have to do is open up my computer and then go to program files and click on the abobe floder, then go to presets, brushes.

Once you have that open downloade the brush to you desktop and drop it into the brush floder.

After that just open up PS and there you have it.
