The AMP Clan Members Bible.
Idea taken from www.atomicwarrior.com, and revised to my standards.
BEFORE YOU JOIN THE CLAN THINK ABOUT THE FOLLOWING:
1. How much are you willing to give back to the clan?
a. You all need to understand that you MUST give back to the clan. You MUST help the clan out in some way, wether it be by recruiting other members, take charge and start practices, helping other clan members, organize tournaments, or just being helpfull and offering your services. I dont want a clan full of self centered arrogant jerks, and if you dont care about the clan enough to help out, you will be kicked. The point of a clan isnt a loose affiliation of players, its a team of players with a common goal or cause, or who just want to play together and have fun.
2. Winning isnt everything.
a. I dont care if you're a good gamer. i dont care if you have an astonishing record. If you give back to the clan and the community and help out, and hell just have fun with it, you're every bit the gamer as that guy with 2 million wins and 10 losses, who doesnt ever show up at meetings, games, ect. Hell, to me, you're a lot better than him. A game is ment for fun. Its not ment for you to turn into a stuck up prick who only cares about his record and skill. We already have good members in the clan, and that means that you WILL learn from them by being in the clan, and no member can be a better "gamer" or "clan member" than you if you're willing to learn and to help.
3. Arrogant, egotistical pricks will not be tolerated.
a. You joined the clan to have fun and game together with people with common views and goals, or you joined the clan to just game with some fun people. Whatever your reasons that doesnt justify being a stuck up arrogant prick. I will not tolerate you giving shit to the less talented members and i will not care about your self proclaimed godliness at this game. You act like a prick, you will be treated like one, and dealt with accordingly. I do not promote members based on skill or even evaluate members based on skill. I evalute on willingness to learn, and how much they help with the clan. I cannot and willnot do everything myself, and there will never be... one leader. That causes problems; when there is one leader it goes to his head and causes problems.
4. You will not use your rank as a weapon
a. I dont want people being dicks just because they are a higher rank. Do they have authority? Yes. Do they need to flaunt it and be pricks? No. Any corrupt member WILL be demoted. A clan always fails because someone uses their rank to their advantages and not to the clans. You're given ranks because of you deserve it. Act accordingly and mature. If you're wrong about something, then admit it. I will respect (and possibly even promote) you more if you are able to admit your wrongs and not let your pride get in the way of opperating.
5. Do not recruit trouble makers
a. When you recruit players who just cause trouble and start shit it ruins the clan. It pisses members off, and defeats the purpose of having a clan: to have fun. I dont care HOW good they are, i dont want pricks in this clan.
6. Dont be a hot head.
a. Dont do shit out of a spuradic decision based on emotions. Dont go posting something on the message boards that you'll regret or if you see something that really pisses you off, think about it before you post. Let yourself cool down. That goes for everyone. A small fight or feud turns to a big fight, a big fight turns to an all out war. A war destroys the clan. If you have a beef settle it in the games, not in a verbal arguement.
7. Clan Hoppers are not allowed.
a. If someone quits the clan, they can NOT rejoin. It takes all the Council members to let someone back in the clan. It takes all Council members to kick someone out of the clan.
8. Do NOT let just anyone in!
a. You should give interviews to new guys, and give TRY OUTS before making someone a member. Make getting into the clan a special time that is valued. . Get all the members together and crowbar the new guy as you swear him into your clan. Do not let a "clan-hopper" in the clan, if someone says he has been in 16 clans, you do NOT want him in the clan, he is a "clan-hopper". If someone is in another clan, they have ZERO loyalty to your clan. Telling the low-lifes "NO" or "GO AWAY", is the job of the COUNCIL Members. b. We dont want to be an easy clan to get into. We want only people loyal to the clan and the cause. All those who wish to get in will need to pass a tryout, an interview, as well as trial period to be considered... a full member. You can recruit anyone you want, but until all three of the above are done they are only a recruit; nothing more. If you see someone who is possibly a good addition to the clan, give them a tryout, save the rep, and give them a council members email, AIM, and account here. Also be sure to contact the council member to let him or her know that theres a possible recruit and give them the replay of the tryout.
