What the hell is wrong with people?
I just saw a commercial on sleeping pills that blatantly blurted out "Some side effects are stomach cramps, nausea, and insomnia." Yes, you heard me right, the side effects to a sleeping pill is insomnia. Say that out loud to let it sink in.

Usually when I see something stupid I don't get too angry about it; I'm putting on an act out of sheer boredom. But when I see something this stupid, the only act I'm putting on is not being mad. "The new sleeping pill, some side effects are insomnia." Fucking unbelievable. That's like saying "Hop aboard Delta Airlines, we fly on the ground!"

These advertising executives are jackasses. MAJOR jackasses. Even more so than the members of this forum (but don't count on it). Who are they going for? Do they really expect people to buy their crappy sleeping pill that keeps them awake? ANSWER ME DAMNIT.

Oh wait, ignore all the above stuff, I just realized what they were going for: addiction. The pills keep you awake, so you'll keep taking them in the false belief that you'll go to sleep. A clever idea; but it only works for idiots. I guess the company was going for people of their type.

are you sure u heard the ad correctly? logically, the insomnia message could be a warning of a possible side-effect from overdosing or becoming dependent on the pill.
Also, the insomnia message could targeted at a select group of people for whom the pill works adversely (like the familiar phrase ‘see your doctor if pain persists’)

I expected more form u tune

oh, here's a nice one I saw just a few days ago: This guy and this girl, are out on a lake in a boat, on a nice little romantic getaway sort of thing. Then their boat springs a leak and the girl starts freaking out, so the guy says "I'll fix it!" and starts looking for something. At this point you don't know what the hell is going on, Then the girl gets this dumb "I'VE GOT AN IDEA!" look on her face, reaches into her purse and pulls out a tampon, which she shoves into the hole and stops the leak. So she has this proud look on her face, as if to say "Hey! Look at my super absorbent tampon! They are so absorbent they can stop a sinking ship! Yes, I bleed THAT much!" Then the guy turns around and he is holding some sort of patch, I dunno. It looked kind of like a condom or something, and he sees that she has stuffed this tampon in already and he has this really odd look on his face. I can only describe it as great acting because it all at once says "Hey, that is kind of cool in a really creepy awkward way. Tampons and girls scare me." and also, simultaneously saying "Wait a minute, I planned this romantic afternoon, came all the way out here and this bitch is on the rag?" Absolutely mind-blowing.



And then other commercials where it shows how stretchy the damn thing is. When the fuck does a girl need to have a three foot long towel stuck up her ass? That is so not sexy.

Tampon commercials aren't supposed to be fucking sexy you twat.

The first commercial is showing that if there IS a moment when they need it to be "extra-absorbent" then they'll be set, its called advertising.

Not showing that the woman bleeds like a mother fucker.

You don't put a tampon in your ass, you being in all IB classes I'd imagine you'd at least pay attention in health class, genius, and alas, tampon commercials aren't supposed to be sexy, they are for advertising.

What it is you're body gets the pill and you goto sleep.

You get too much and you're body gets ... "confused" I guess anyway because it was too much it sorta nulls itself and then it will act as a stimulant and keep you awake.

I belive that is how it works but I may be wrong.

The over dosage is the inverse of a regular dosage, so in that respect insomnia should be the inverse of sleep right?

Right. But it said it was a common side-effect, not one of overdosage.
