its alot better for newer computers. For one it makes use of your good graphics card. They built it from scratch so it has no dependencies of older windows. If you dont have a newer computer (built in the past year or sooner) then you probaly arent going to run it.
Its not out yet, its in beta, so that is one reason it eats so much memory and shit. Required 1 gig of memory also, 2 gigs recommended.

Note: This is not the build that would have potentially been the Nov CTP (and was released to TAP testers)....this is an untested leak of Windows Vista. It has not passed any validation checks by Microsoft.
VERY IMPORTANT: There are possible issues with this build that *may* corrupt the boot record of existing OSes (if you Dual Boot)
This is why it is important that you install this build in a test environment if possible. If you do decide to install this and Dual boot with XP. It is possible your MBR will become corrupt.
to fix the problem, simply boot recovery console and run fixboot and fixmbr commands.

hmm well i have only 512 and 256 ram sticks 
so I probly shouldnt install now, or ill run out of ram hah
