but seriously. im listening to this CD right now (De-Loused In The Comatorium by The Mars Volta) in my Cd player/receiver combo thing, on the headphones cause my parents are hiding things under what is probably a Douglas-Fir tree, and I notice things that I've never heard before. not to mention the bass.

Oh, the bass.
It really highlights the differences in headphone quality, audio quality, and just listening in a place that isn't crowded with fucking college kids and cars and people screaming and all that nonsense that goes on outside when you listen on quality equipment (hand-me-down, nonetheless).

I think I will steal my brother's bass.

I love the Mars Volta. I saw em with System of a Down a few years ago. One of the best concerts I've been to, aside from Wolfmother. They both ROCK live.
