Hi,

This is Joseph. I am a designer working in India. I'd like to get feedback on my personal website. http://www.joseph-victor.com. I have used Bryce for creating the backgrounds, Photoshop for image editing and enhancing and Flash for final integration..

first of all...it made my computer lag. WoW doesn't make my computer lag. that means...too much.
second, i didn't like the tech. i hate tech. it takes the most extremely well-done tech to make it even somewhat appealling.
lastly, the eye was a little cliché, but the city coming into it was pretty nice.

it was a well-put together site, i think you've got some skill when it comes to putting everything together...i'd just work on the layout a bit more.
but that's just my opinion.

I agree with luxo.

It has everything, but try re-wrapping it in a more appealing paper.

I'm also not a huge fan of the music

I agree with luxo aswell; and where your portfolio is, work on the scrollbar cause it's hard looking at the pictures at the very top.

Hi,

thanks a lot for your feedback. Will work on the interface to make it more appealing.. Also regarding the scrollbar in the portfolio section... I agree.. it is a bit difficult to look at the pictures on the top.. will work on that as well..

I dont have a very good collection of music to use.. these have been taken from sites which had some free to use music.. in case any of you have some good loopable music, I'd really appreciate if you could send those to me.. my email address is jovictor00@yahoo.com..

None of it lagged for me, and I use a Mac, with can barely handle large flash sites without lagging.

Oh, and some good music that might fit that site is by this artist, Aphex Twin. I'll try to get the member doctor to post in this thread telling what music exactly, because he probably knows the best.

Only thing really wrong is that damn scrolling. <_<

hai, my sound cord for my computer doesn't work, but from what I see on there use the song "Mt. Saint Michel mix + St. Michael" by Aphex Twin (one song). it has the whole dark but energetic feeling that your site gives. speaking of the site, I like the design but you're trying too hard to show us what you can do. make a short flash video, people don't want to watch a movie when they go to your site, if you want that then fill out an application for animation engineer at Pixar.

wait, screw that, get "Ventolin" by Aphex Twin, from his I Care Because You Do album. if you start it at 14 seconds into the song and make it match with the site, it'll be the best thing ever.

Joseph, I went to your site and find it very exciting and visually interesting. I particularly like your transition. I did find myself wanting more control over the timing in your gallery. I like to click right to the items of interest. Great design and nicely executed. Bravo.

Thanks a lot for all the encouraging feedback. After a long period of hiatus, I am in the process of updating the site. Trying to incorporate all the "improvement" feedback I have received from everyone.
