This tutorial lets you make Shapes like this without the complication.



For this tutorial you need Photoshop and Wings 3D (Freeware) at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/w...b.exe?download

First the Wings 3D Part.
After it loads up right click on the net and select sphere.
Press Crtl+A and click the red marks to turn them grey which means there will be no bars coming from that polygon.
Now for the bars. Simply right click the shape go to Extrude>Normal and move the mouse to the right until desired length. It should look like this



When you make something like this go to File>Export>Cartoon Edges (eps)

Open it up in photoshop. Color it*,Edit it, etc
Also notice that you edit the size of the shape when you open it.

*Simple Method for Color
-------------------------
1.Make new layer above Lines
2.Turn on Linear Burn
3. Use the brush tool don't need to be to percise because the linear burn will make it color and if it touches black it doesn't show up.
